It's Jammie time!!

We LOVE our jammies, comfies, pj's, lounge wear, (whatever you want to call them). It's so comforting to wear these clothes and lay around. Not all of the time, but especially on a day like today....raining, cold, yucky! Mason loves his pj's too! Daddy and Mason are matching today. Thank goodness I'm behind the camera because you really don't want to see me in my pj's. It's a bit scary at times!

It's supposed to be bedtime. You can tell Mason's ready to go to bed, right? HA!
"Night, Night", as Mason says!!

Dinner

We had dinner with the Bogart's on Saturday. The boys had a blast. Alexa slept most of the time. Kevin and I enjoyed the food and company.

(I'm a bit disappointed in my camera. It won't focus fast enough.)

Shelley was nice enough to make dinner for us. We had chicken and broccoli casserole, wild rice, steamed asparagus, and banana bread. Good comfort food. I brought a white chocolate pound cake with fresh berries for dessert. YUMMY! The guys had 2 helpings. HA!

Thanks to the Bogart's for having us over for dinner. We look forward to having dinner again with Keith cooking on his grill. ;) (inside joke)..... HA!

Ready for Spring?

We've been busy the week. Started last weekend with our landscaping projects and now getting more organized upstairs in the bonus room. We can't quite get everything arranged like we like, but it's coming along. We did purchase a new filing cabinet and now have all of our things filed away. We keep forgetting that we have only been in this house for 7 months (almost). It takes time to get things in the right place.

I purchased a new coverlet set from JcPenney. You can look at it here! We bought the gold color. The set looks really nice and I hope that it looks as good in person. I really don't like to buy things like that online, but it wasn't sold in stores and I've been looking forever, it seems, for the right one. There is something about Spring that makes you want to organize, clean, make purchases, etc.

We haven't taken pictures of our landscaping yet, but here are some pictures from our visit with Nana and Papa.

Mason just adores 'his Papa'!!

Climbing

Mason is climbing all over everything. He started a couple weeks ago and he's fallen out of "Daddy's chair" a few times, but he keeps going back. He now knows he has to be careful getting down.

With every milestone he becomes more challenging. I always think "it was so much easier then". Even though at the time, you don't realize it. I know I've said this before, but it's so true. It was so much easier when he just sat in his bouncy seat or the swing, but then I was running on fumes from lack of sleep! HA!

This picture cracks me up!! What a little ham.

Grammy and I have now bought him his own beanbag in hopes that he will use it instead of climbing on to the furniture. We'll see. I'll post pictures of that later.

Notice how he throws all of the pillows off of the couch. As if they are in his way.

He looks so much like a little boy now. Where's my baby!!

Bath time can be fun!

Mason normally has a GREAT time playing in the bathtub, until we brush his teeth. Not pretty.

HAPPY! (I think it's time for a haircut)

HAPPY!

STILL HAPPY!

HERE WE GO!

NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!

Chase, Chase.....

That's what I heard yesterday morning. After mentioning to Mason that today is our play date with Chase, he was ready to go and didn't eat much breakfast. He didn't even ask for Blue's Clues. He was READY TO GO!!! I'm so happy to see him have so much fun with Chase. Mason was so surprised to see that Chase has eyes, a nose, ears, hair.... just like him. Poor Chase just stood there while Mason pointed out everything. For some reason, Mason can't point to the body part, he has to touch it, so he's poking Chase's eye out. GEEZ!!! I hope Mason doesn't become a bully. HA!

This is Alexa. Chase's sister. She's so sweet and tiny!

Poor Chase, Mason wouldn't leave him alone for a second. He even sat on his lap.

Planning ahead

I have been busy this past week and into this week. I worked at GC last Wed, Thurs and Fri. Unfortunately, the lady that took my place decided the job was not a good fit for her. So, I offered to help out until they find a replacement. Sometimes I don't know what I get into. I really don't mind helping, but I fail to realize all of the other responsibilities that I have in running a household.

I've been trying to get things ready for our beach trip to VA in May and I also want to have most everything ready for Mason's birthday party. Since the two are so close together I'm doing both at the same time. It's really not hard, but when you have so many things going on at the same time, one can get a bit overwhelmed.

My little birthday boy last year....

A sneak peak into Mason's birthday party: LOTS OF PRIMARY COLORS, beach balls, swim suit, beach towels, sand box, (*note to self....build a sandbox). Kevin and I decided to build a sandbox rather than buying one of the turtle ones. Those are just too small and of course we want to get in there with Mason too! HA!

Kevin searched the internet on how to build your own sandbox. We love this one.....

We have also been looking at swing sets for Mason. I still feel that he is a bit young for this type of set, but he'll grow into it and have more time to enjoy it. We saw this one at Wal-Mart and thought it was a great price and has all of the options that we think Mason would enjoy. I can't say that ours will look this great when it's installed. :)

So, I think that is about it for now. As if that's not enough. Mason will be meeting Chase again this week for his play date. They have so much fun. Apparently, so do Shelley and I because I didn't take one picture last week. I had the camera, but that's as far as I got. Oh well.... another note to self *remember to take more pictures.
