Classroom Makeover

Hey y'all! So sorry to leave you hanging. I'm sure you are all wondering why we haven't broke ground yet or if you are like me, you are wondering if we are really building a house. 😊 I promise things are still in action. Our appraisal for the land took longer than expected to complete which means our closing has been held up for 2 more weeks. Yep! Two.More.Weeks!

In other news, we have started back to school. For the past few weeks, my friend (and fellow teacher) have been working hard in our classroom.  We started with this great idea to paint our room and then it turned into a complete makeover. You know how that goes!

Here are a couple of BEFORE pictures. The room was yellow and a shade of blue. Neither of which we liked.

Both of the new colors, turquoise and grey we used are by Valspar. I can't remember the name of the turquoise we used, but it is on the coastal color swatch. The grey is Aspen grey.

We moved pretty much everything in the room. We wanted to have a kitchen and play area separated from the puzzles and books. So far it seems to be working. Keep in mind our babies are 2 so it is nearly impossible to keep them in each area

The desk and bookshelves were here before.  Now this space is our kitchen play area (our kids LOVE this space).

We also decided to paint our cubbies.  I have no idea what we were thinking! ;) We like how they turned out and how they look in the room now, but boy, that was some work!

Yes. That is a door behind the cubbies. Our room used to be two rooms. Might have to hang a wreath there to add something cute and take attention away from the door.

Our changing area and tables for snack and lunch. The banner will be used to hang our artwork.

Ready for orientation.

Each classroom has a bulletin board to decorate for first/last day of school and each season. I have to admit. This is probably one of my favorite things to do. Crafty!

I will share that with you all soon!
