Under Construction: "The Playroom"

Kevin and I decided that we will "need" a playroom downstairs since that is where we are most of the time. We are hoping that toys will stay in that one particular room and not all over the house. Yeah, right! I guess we should have had a playroom for Bailey too! :)

So, now we (Kevin) have/has another room to paint. We think we will paint this room a neutral color. Maybe taupe or a darker tan color. This way if we ever need to change the decor', it will not be too hard. Kevin has been busy sanding another changing table, getting it ready to be painted. We thought it would be a good idea to have an area to change Mason with out having to go up and down the stairs. Kevin has also refinished my table and chairs that I had as a little girl. It sounds like Kevin has been doing all of the work. I promise I have been doing things as well. It takes a lot of energy to go shopping. Just kidding. We have done all of the shopping together which has made this experience much more special. We have picked out all of the decorations together and pretty much agreed on everything. Unless Kevin is just agreeing with me, but I don't think so. He has learned to speak up now. As a matter of fact, I left picking out the glider and ottoman to him and we picked it up last Friday evening. I felt pretty bad. We got it home. Kevin put it together. We sat in it.... and then said "I don't like it". So, back to Wal-Mart we went. It wasn't comfortable at all. Oh well! At least we have time to pick out something else.

Stay tuned to see updated pictures of the finished nursery and playroom. We have been working really hard and I know both rooms will be adorable. We can't wait for Mason (and us) to enjoy them.

We bought these pictures from Babies R Us. I thought they were too cute and match the rug very well. We're not sure yet where we are hanging them.

Of course, we still need to paint and put up a valance over the window.

My table and chairs that Kevin re-finished. He did a great job.
