Christmas morning

Mason woke up Christmas morning to Santa. We had a great time with Mason. Watching his expressions and enjoying every moment. He wasn't exactly sure what was going on, but he knew that he saw new toys and puzzles. We opened the gifts and our stockings, enjoyed a french toast breakfast, and headed off to Greensboro.

Santa was good to Mason this year. He brought Mason a sit-n-spin, tickle me Elmo, puzzles, a plate, spoon, and fork set, a puzzle ball with all different shapes and colors, and a doodle board.

Notice our tree in the background. There are no ornaments from the middle down. Someone decided to take them off. This was a big challenge this year. I hope next year will be different. We'll see.

How could Santa not love a face like this? Thank you Santa for all of the gifts. We'll see you next year!!

White Christmas

Christmas day (afternoon) was spent in Greensboro this year. What a beautiful sight! We had snow for the second time this year; however, this was the first time I remember having a white Christmas. We had a lot of fun playing outside with Nana and Papa. Not sure how much snow they got in Greensboro. I would say around 5" to 6" because when we got home, we had 8" and it looked like a lot more. It was amazing.

These are just our snow pictures. I'll post Christmas soon. There are soooooo many pictures to sort through. It takes some time.

Riding on the sled was fun. Getting off, not so much. Ha!! I'm just glad no one got that on camera.

Thank you Nana and Papa for the great time. We had lots of fun and can't wait to see you again soon!

Hurry up, before December is gone!

Kevin, aka, Daddy, celebrated his birthday earlier this month. Pretty much the whole week was a celebration. Between home and work, he was King (for at least a week, anyway). Mason and I baked him a cookie cake and gave him a foot spa for his birthday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY! WE LOVE YOU!

We have had snow already twice this year. Mason took a nap and woke up to a winter wonderland. Kevin and I were outside planting our bulbs for the Spring. We didn't think it would snow, but it did and it was beautiful.

Santa is REAL!!

Mason saw Santa today for the first time at Wal-Mart of all places. It was just a small set up in the garden section of "Wally", but it sure beat going to the mall. We even got a free 5x7. I thought that was nice and because we had to wait so long for the picture to print, we also got a free 8x10. Mason did awesome with Santa. He just kept staring at him and I'm sure wondering "who is this person?". He didn't cry at all. I was so proud.

'Tis the Season..... to decorate!

The tree is up and decorated. The stockings are hung over the fireplace. The lights are in the windows and the garland is hung. We've even wrapped some presents already. We are on the ball.

We decided to get a small tree this year to go with our small house. It's actually a very cute tree and nicely decorated too! Although, now, it's only half decorated. Mason was able to reach and pull down some of the ornaments. It's ok. Ornaments can be moved higher on the tree. It looks pretty funny now. There are only lights on the bottom. For some reason, Mason just wouldn't stop. As soon as we turned our backs, he was right back at it again. We are looking forward to less time on the road this year (just a little).

We are trying to start our own family traditions on Christmas day. I really wanted Mason to be home on Christmas morning to see the gifts Santa left under the tree and what's in his stocking. He's still a bit young to understand, but it's time to start now so that he'll be used to being home.
