We had a nice relaxed day. Nina, Papa, and Caity came for a visit.
Mason was so excited to see his Papa. When Papa is around, everyone else is invisible to Mason. Since birth, Mason has had a very strong connection with Papa. They play, and play, and play.
Just look at their faces. Priceless!
We hope Papa lives to be 120 years old (at least)!
Papa brought his boat this visit and they went up to our pond to see how it works. No, I did not, participate, since it was 1 million degrees outside. HA! Seriously, this heat has got to go!
The day didn't really feel like the 4th at all. Since we hung out at home (which was nice), it was more like a Saturday. We chose not to go out for the fireworks. Since Mason had such a BIG day with no nap, we didn't think it would be a good idea. Also, Daddy had to work the next day. Kind of makes it hard when the Holiday falls in the middle of the week.
I hope you all had a great fourth and stayed safe!

Weekend Wrap-Up
Have ya'll stayed cool?! Seriously, this heat wave is ridiculous. With temperatures topping out at 107° F this weekend, it was dangerously hot! Luckily, we had a free pool pass to visit a local pool on Saturday. Our second choice was the movies. (or any where with a/c) HA!

Mason and I were so excited about our discovery on Thursday. Can you guess what this is in this picture?

We found some eggs! AWW! We were so excited. I was watering our plants on the front porch when I made the discovery. I'm so glad I saw it first. I'm thinking they are finch eggs, but not sure. I really hope they make it in this heat (not sure if it matters).

Other than fighting the heat, I love seeing all of the flowers of Spring and Summer. The purple color of my hydrangeas are just beautiful.
The best part is bringing in the flowers and enjoying them inside in the a/c! HA!

I hope ya'll had a great weekend too and stay cool! See you soon.
