Where did November go?

November is gone and I'm actually posting this in December.  I guess you could say I'm a month behind.  Hey, we have a 6 month old!  You haven't missed too much.  I had my 35th birthday.  Gosh! 35.  Seriously, I don't feel that old and it's just a number right.   We also celebrated Kevin's 35th birthday on December 1st.  For his birthday, he went hunting with my Dad in GA.  Yes, you guessed it.  I was a single Mom for 4 days/nights 24/7.  I must say, I'm pretty proud of myself.  Other than being very tired, I did it and enjoyed spending time with Monkey.

We had Thanksgiving at the Kranz house this year.  It was only us and Grammy and Grampy, so very quiet, but very relaxing.  It was very nice to spend the Holiday at home and not on the road.

What is Mason up to, you ask?  Well, he loves to smile and play.  Now we are eating 2 meals per day plus our bottle of course.  He loves sweet potatos, squash, carrots, applesauce and bananas.

We recently had his 6 month checkup and he is now 15 1/2 lbs. and 26 inches.  So he is actually getting longer rather than wider.  He is still so handsome to us.  I still call him Monkey, but remind him everyday of just how handsome he is.  Mason is such a good baby.  Most of the time he is very content and only fusses when he is sleepy or hungry.  He hasn't quite grasped sitting up by himself yet, but he's getting there.  More than likely, he'll go from sitting to standing right away.  Totally skipping the crawling.  He loves to stand up, of course with you holding him.

He is very curious about everything.  He'll follow you or whomever around the room.  He especially loves watching Bailey and will sometimes reach out to touch him.  For some reason, Bailey is just not interested in Mason at all.  Bailey will walk up to him and smell, but then just walk away.

Mason also enjoys watching TV.  He still likes Blue's Clues.  I think that might be his favorite.  He smiles, coos and bounces during the program.  He just gets so excited thinking that the TV is talking to him.

It's getting close to Christmas and we're very excited.  The tree and decorations are up.  The Pritchett's and Kranz families are coming to our house this year and we're planning a feast.  I'm sure we'll have a great time.  Mason will have lots to watch.  He'll probably wear himself out with all of the excitement.
